Danny, a Minnesota native who somehow found himself living in Georgia, and Grace, who had just moved to Alpharetta for a new job, crossed paths the most modern way possible—on Bumble. On a Saturday afternoon in 2023, they matched. Not long after, they met up for tacos. What was supposed to be a simple first date turned into something neither of them quite expected… and, as they like to say, the rest was history.Danny’s first impression of Grace was that she had this effortlessly bubbly, fun energy—and that she was genuinely interested in getting to know him, which stood out immediately.Grace’s first impression of Danny was a little more internal: he’s tall, attractive, clearly has his life together… there’s no way he’d go for me. (She was wrong.)Somewhere along the way, things shifted from casual to serious—and oddly enough, that moment involved a dog named Batman. When Danny trusted Grace to babysit him, it was clear this wasn’t just a passing thing anymore..

The Beginning

When it came time to propose, Danny knew it had to be something meaningful.Since Christmas is Grace’s favorite time of year, he chose the Atlanta Christkindl Market in Lawrenceville.Surrounded by her family, standing in front of a giant Christmas tree, he asked the question—and she said yes.It wasn’t just a perfect moment.It felt like the natural next step in a story that had been building all along.And now, they’re excited to celebrate the beginning of forever—together.
